A Co-founder of MU, Dr. Wilson Endege has played a major role in steering it to the current level by participating in articulating and developing the vision in relation to the near term and long term strategic MU implementation. His endeavor for MU is to make sure that it be established as an excellent educational institution which will provide the best education and professional training in Africa. Having trained and worked in both the Kenyan and Western Education Systems, Dr. Endege believes that he has the depth of knowledge and experience to help establish an Educational and Training Center of Excellence like that the founders of MU aspire it to be.

Dr. Endege has over 21 years experience carrying out drug and biomarker research in the human and animal health fields. He currently works for the Harvard Institute of Proteomics of the Harvard Medical School as a Senior Staff Research Scientist. Before joining Harvard Dr. Endege held senior scientist positions in cancer genomics discovery research in the biotechnology industry at Millennium Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Chiron Diagnostics Corporation Inc. His research work in both corporations resulted into at least 4 issued patents in the field of cancer biomarkers and drug discovery. Several of the oncology markers discovered from the research he led are in clinical development. In Kenya, he worked as a Research Fellow at the International Livestock Research Institute and a Research Scientist at Veterinary Research Laboratories.

He believes in and is dedicated to building educational institutions & economically powerful financial organizations in Kenya. He is the current President Andimi Economic Group LLC; a Kenyan small business group based in the USA whose goal is to empower its USA Kenyan member Diaspora financially by investing in viable financial ventures. He is also a member of Valogoli Vene LLC, Dr. Endege is one of the leaders charged with strategic planning by Kenya Development Network Consortium (KDNC), a Kenyan USA based business co-creation incubator and developer of sustainable novel business ideas.

Dr. Endege received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biochemistry and chemistry at the University of Nairobi, and his Ph.D. in Molecular biology with the highest distinction at the Free University of Brussels. Dr. Endege completed several management courses when he was employed in industry.
